![]() In front of the wall there is a pleated pocket, with two more pleated pockets in front, complete with a row of elastic webbing. Vanquest sell various hook backed inserts that will work here, to configure that space to any specific use case. The front front has their signature semi-transparent zipper pocket. The main compartment is classic Vanquest. While the pocket does not have its own volume, it can push into the main compartment a little to store small items. This space is perfect for hand sanitizer and face masks, a common need in 2021. There is a zipper garage at the end also, to give the front pocket more protection. The front pocket is similarly sized, without a flap. Be careful eating trail mix over the top of this bag. The pocket is hidden via a flap/cover from the bottom, which means it is a natural channel to collect small debris. Starting from the back, there is a somewhat hidden large pocket, good for keys or wallet. Even in a small 4L pack like the Dendrite, the organization is plentiful. Vanquest are known for their high-viz interiors and internal organization. ![]() It is non adjustable but great for hooking on additional items with a carabiner. Vanquest have included a small loop at the end of the connection point which I initially mistook for a compression strap setup. It is fully removable, with the buckle on one side, to be set up for left- or right-handed operation. The belt is made of 1.5″ webbing material. The Dendrite is easy to adjust for wearing on the waist, or slung across the chest. I particularly like their zipper pulls which are easy to use even with gloved hands. Vanquest always use name brand components like ITW and Duraflex hardware with YKK zippers. I always find Vanquest products to be well made. Note that the smaller version measures 5.5” (H) x 9” (W) x 3” (D), with a capacity of 2.75 liters. While the model reviewed is the DENDRITE-Large, Vanquest also produce a Small. Primary fabric: 400-D UrbanBlend™ Nylon-Poly fabric ![]() Tactical-styled bag company Vanquest, for example, have released the Dendrite, available in two sizes. Across those commonly featured on this site, we’re now hard pressed to find a brand that does not offer a waist pack in its product line. And for the HPG, maybe it would be a good option in case I want to switch from the P365 to something bigger for EDC.Since last year, the waist pack style seems to be catching on again. ![]() I know what I will probably do is buy more than one, then see how they work out. Finally, I've been asking myself, "how much do you need this bag?" since my EDC pistol is the P365 and fits pretty nicely under just a t-shirt while wearing shorts in the summer. But it could also come in handy when I'm doing some outdoor activities (hunting) where tactical looks don't matter. A bit more tactical looking (IMHO) than the other two, and quite a bit pricier. HPG Belt Pack - this one looks really great and similar to the size of the Dendrite small.BUT out of stock for a while in preferred color. Vanquest Dendrite Small - about 2/3 the weight, capacity and price of the Bellroy Mini, and looks to have better internal organization.Bellroy Mini - looks to be a good size and very low key, but I'm not sure whether and how much tinkering I will have to do in order to make it CCW appropriate. At the moment, here's what I'm thinking (fwiw): I *still* have not made up my mind - in part because I am too easily distracted by other research or "need to get" projects. (I'm on some other message boards and rookies are often ignored.) Thanks again to everyone who has replied - especially to a new guy who hasn't contributed anything.
